It Started With a Gift
It all began a few years ago when my wife decided to ditch her bulky wallet. She bought a compact card holder from a local shop, but while the size was perfect, the quality was disappointing.
I was inspired to make her a better option. As you might guess, it wasn’t easy – I failed many times before I created a version good enough to replace her old one.
But that process sparked a passion. I got a little carried away: designing, making, testing, and re-designing. After two years of perfecting the craft, we were finally ready to share these products with you.
Our Name is Our Promise
When we were searching for a name, we looked to our roots. We fell in love with Idant – an old Lithuanian word meaning “for this purpose.” It felt right, but we needed a symbol to match the sentiment. That’s when the diamond shape clicked. It represents the distinct, diamond-shaped hole made by our traditional leather crafting tools.
For us, the name and the symbol are reminders of our mission: to create items with a clear purpose – to serve you well and last a lifetime.
We use finest Italian vegetable-tanned leather not just for its durability, but for its authenticity. Unlike mass-produced materials, this leather has deep, natural character. Every hide is unique, meaning the piece you carry is truly one-of-a-kind. To respect that natural cycle, we ship everything in simple, sustainable packaging that is fully recycled or recyclable.
