When we started thinking about the name for our brand, we knew it should be something Lithuanian and something related with leather crafts. We really liked Idant – very old Lithuanian word meaning ‘for this purpose’.  But it had nothing to do with leather… After some time we came up with a tilted diamond which resembles a diamond shaped stitching hole made with a special leather crafting tool. And here it is Idant with a little diamond on top!

The purpose of our products is to last long and serve you well. Therefore we create minimalist and timeless designs which are carefully handcrafted using highest quality vegetable tanned Italian leather. Vegetable tanning is the oldest and most natural method. It is called “vegetable” because of the natural tannins used in the tanning process such as leaves and branches of trees and plants. Each piece made from this leather has unique shades and slight inconsistencies. Some people would call it imperfections, we call it Wabi-sabi. 

Our products are shipped out in simple but sustainable packaging. All materials are either already recycled or suitable for recycling. Doing our best to not make things worse than they already are.
